Option 1. One click

Start Telegram Desktop.
Tap “Connect proxy” above or pick a server from the list — the browser offers to open the link in Telegram.
Click Enable in the proxy window. A shield icon appears in the bottom left corner.

Open Settings → Advanced → Connection type.
Choose Use custom proxy and click Add proxy.
Pick MTProto, fill in Server, Port and Secret from the table below, then save.
Select the proxy in the list — Telegram immediately shows whether it is connected.

Add several servers: Telegram Desktop shows the latency of each and switches in one click.
Check that antivirus or a corporate firewall is not blocking Telegram’s outgoing connections.

The link does not open Telegram — what now?

Make sure Telegram Desktop is installed and running. If your browser does not offer to open the app, add the proxy manually under Connection type.
